(the "Company") and the applicant that his or her role in the relationship to Mystery Shopping Canada Inc. will be that of an independent contractor. Mystery Shopping Canada Inc. is not your employer. You are free to provide your services to other companies. It is specifically clear and understood between Mystery Shopping Canada Inc. and the applicant that said applicant will not be treated as an employee, but rather only as a contractor for federal tax purposes. The applicant is responsible for paying both estimated income and self-employment tax. It is specifically clear and understood that you are not covered by the Company's Workers' Compensation insurance, and you would be required to obtain your own health insurance coverage. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from acts on your behalf, which might give rise to any lawsuits or claims against the Company. Mystery Shopping Canada Inc. nor it's insurance carriers shall have any responsibility or liability for any damage, injury or death involving an accident by you, and advises appropriate insurance coverage on your own vehicle. It is the responsibility of each "contractor" to operate in a complete independent status. You are free to perform the shopping assignments on your own schedule, as long as it does not interfere with the requirements of the assignment. There are no other requirements nor office responsibilities other than those needed in the normal course of the business. A contractor may refuse any business that is offered him or her. It is specifically clear and understood that all client information, including the names of our clients, is extremely confidential.
